Turkey, which met 27 percent of the world fig production with 306 thousand tons last year, obtained a foreign currency input of 286 million dollars from the export of this product as dry and fresh.
In Turkey, which realizes 26 percent of the world’s cherry production with a production of 627 thousand tons and exports 162 million dollars; Apricot production varies between 750 thousand tons and 985 thousand tons. Revenues of 294 million dollars were reached from apricot exports.
Thus, a foreign exchange inflow of 2.17 billion dollars was provided in 2018 only from the exports of hazelnuts, cherries, figs and apricots.
